My little brother carved a pumpkin for halloween, do you like it? Sorry about the quality of the picture.
The Last Saskatchewan Pirate
I just installed the Enclosures plugin for Movable Type and I need to test it out.
Cause it’s a Heave! Ho! Hay! Ho! Comin’ down the plains
Stealin’ wheat and barley and all the other grains
It’s a Ho! Hay! Hi! Hay! Farmers bar your doors
When you see the Jolly Roger on Regina’s mighty shores
The Last Saskatchewan Pirate is a wonderful song by a comedy group called the arrogant worms. The song is about a farmer who’s land gets taken away so he decides to become a pirate. Wonderful song, catchy tune, you’ll be singing it in your head for hours.
Update: Hmm, it seems that it doesn’t recognize the markdown links, I’ll have to hack it in… until then The Last Saskatchewan Pirate.
Has Nader Lost it?
Has Nader completely lost his mind? I think so my friend…
1001
1001 is a desktop flickr client written by Adriaan Tijsseling, the same guy that writes ecto. Looks like a good program, like usual from this supreme developer. I don’t use flickr personally but I thought I could spread the word along because ado is so awesome and he has done so much for me.
iPod Photo
I want one!!!
Wired Mag’s Creative Commons CD Torrented
Awesome! The Creative Commons CD has already been torrented. Pick it up off Legal Torrents. Torrent File
And now a cinematic interlude for you
“So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I’m a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald . . . striking.
“So I’m on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one — big hitter, the Lama — long, into a 10,000-foot crevice, right at the base of this glacier. . . .
“So we finish the 18th and he’s gonna stiff me. And I say, ‘Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.’ And he says, ‘Oh, uh, there won’t be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.’
“So I got that goin’ for me, which is nice.”
2 Hours and 15 Minutes well spent….
Was locked out this evening. It was fun at first, my brothers and I walked around downtown peering into the bars, hoping to see the score of the baseball game (Go Red Sox!). It soon turned boring and monotonous. We decided to sit at the rec center. It started raining and it all went downhill from there. Overall, pretty interesting, I might recommend it but definitely not for extended periods of time.
That’s it!?!?
Only one day? I thought this storm was supposed to go for at least two and possibly into three days but no… This sucks, I want the rain. Somebody should call the weather service and complain. Today was fun though, I did a lot of walking and waiting in the rain. It’s a good thing I had an umbrella.

Welcome to my new domain, my new blog, and my new wiki.
San Diego is in on Blogs
I guess San Diego isn’t that out of it in the blogging world. At a speech downtown yesterday, Ralph Nader discussed corporate control about the media. Somebody asked about blogging and Nader replied, “Yeah you know, we should probably have a blog on our own site. My problem is that I still use a manual typewriter [laughter] so I have to tell my staff, ‘let’s get this done.’”
Internets
Is it just me or did the President just say Internets?
Quote of the Day.
For school, I had to do a project that involved dropping an object off the roof to find the height of the building. Another class decided to drop pumpkins but the maintenance guy wouldn’t let them (It is a new school). In trying to persuade him, the Dean of Students said, “We don’t have this school to keep it new, we have this school so we can drop pumpkins off the roof.”
Update your feeds…
Alright, I’ll be moving stuff around so can you please update your feeds with http://feeds.feedburner.com/ChrisBarna
If you haven’t already set up a burned feed with FeedBurner, it’s a great service. You can put your flickr images and del.icio.us links into your feed along with tons of other things.
